Final Fantasy VII Remake - After all these years, the dream has finally become reality!!

You can imagine how excited the visitors of E3 2015 were when they found out that Square Enix actually remake Final Fantasy VII. Finally, the game that gamers have been waiting for for years has come true!! Not only has the appearance changed – now it looks much more realistic and spectacular than the original version, FFVII Remake leaves the original game system that uses ATB (Active Time Battle), where your three party members and your opponent take turns attacking. The only original feature is the storyline, which tells of Cloud and the Avalanche group’s efforts against the Shinra company to protect the planet Gaia, but end up getting involved in far more dangerous problems.

Based on the demo that has been shown, Final Fantasy VII Remake looks more similar to Final Fantasy XV because it features an action-oriented game. The reason is, in the demo it appears that Cloud is moving freely in the game area to attack Shinra’s troops with his large Buster Sword. Interestingly, the developer said that ATB is still used in this game even though its function is not to select the command – for example Attack, Magic, Item, Summon – which you want to use, but for the new system which is still kept secret. Not only that, the Remake will also feature other unique game systems that vary depending on the playing style of each player. Cool!!

Still the same as the original version, the Remake still features a party consisting of 3 characters that can be changed during the game, plus the ability to choose the equipment you want to use, although there has been no news about Materia being the main feature in Final Fantasy VII. One thing that might surprise fans is: Final Fantasy VII Remake was not released as a “whole” but is divided into several episodes, where each episode will present an interesting experience. Although it may be disappointing, but this is understandable, because to make a game as big as FFVII with a view as awesome as FFXV requires enormous resources (and time).

What’s even more surprising: Square Enix stated that the first part of Final Fantasy VII Remake has been completed, from start to finish – for episode 1 that is. Does this indicate that the first chapter of the Cloud Strife adventure – with the Avalanche troops – can be enjoyed by gamers in the near future? I hope so.
