JAKARTA, INDONESIA – 26 July 2018 – Another surprise is presented to Challengers all over Indonesia. This time, Garena AOV Indonesia collaborates with Lifelike Pictures to add to the excitement of the Arena of Valor game by presenting Hero Wiro Sableng. This hero is the first Indonesian local hero to be present in the AOV game and can be played by all AOV players in August 2018.
The character of Wiro Sableng is a fictional character from a novel series by Bastian Tito which tells the adventures of the armed warrior Kapak Maut Naga Geni 212. This series has been adapted in Indonesian soap operas from 1994 to 2002 and was also made into films in 1988 and 1989. Wiro Sableng’s appearance in It is this screen that makes this character widely known by the people of Indonesia. Lifelike Pictures, in collaboration with 20th Century Fox, later reenacted the story of this character in a feature film entitled Wiro Sableng 212. The first collaborative project between a Hollywood production house and a local production house in Southeast Asia will be broadcast in all theaters in the country starting on April August 30.
The presence of the hero Wiro Sableng at AOV in August is a collaborative project between Lifelike Pictures, Caravan Studio, Tencent Timi Studio, Garena Indonesia and other parties for months. Vino G Bastian, the main character from the film Wiro Sableng 212, also participated in the making of Hero Wiro Sableng. Finally, the desire of AOV players for local heroes is realized through this collaboration.
