Disney has announced the release date along with the official title of the sequel film Wreck-It Ralph (2012). The announcement was made at the CinemaCon event in Las Vegas some time ago.
The title to be used is Ralph Breaks The Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2. While the release date falls on March 9, 2018. As the title suggests, this time Ralph will venture into the world of the internet leaving behind the outdated world of Arcade games.
The first film cast such as Jane Lynch, Jack McBrayer, John C. Reilly and Sarah Silverman will be joining the project again. While the director’s chair will be occupied by the duo Rich Moore and Phil Johnson with a script written by Johnston and Pamela Ribbon.
When Wreck-It Ralph released last November 2012, this film became the film with the largest opening weekend revenue for Walt Disney Animation Studios at that time. The film even received Oscar and Golden Globe nominations for the category Best Animation. This Ralph and Felix adventure film also won five Annie Awards including the category best animated feature, director, cast and screenplay. And won the Kids’ Choice Award for the category favorite animated movie.
