Some time ago we saw that Nintendo, a well-known company in the field of gaming, has released their first game for mobile devices. This is actually predictable in advance by gamers. And as if not to be outdone by Nintendo, its rival company, Sony, is also doing almost the same thing.
Sony announced that they have formed a new division within their company. This division is in charge of bringing games on their Playstation consoles so that they can then be played on today’s mobile devices such as smart phones or smartphones and tablets, both with Apple’s Android or iOS operating systems. This division itself already has a name, namely Forward Works. The division leader is Arsushi Morita, Head of Sony Computer Entertainment Asia and Japan.
The formation of this division is deemed necessary and is a good business strategy to stem their rival Nintendo, which we can say has gone a step further by releasing their first mobile game.
The Forward Works Division will be actively working on April 1st. Don’t worry, this isn’t a joke just because the date is April Fools’ Day. April 1 is also the date that Sony Computer Entertainment changed its name to Sony Interactive Entertainment.
What triggered the emergence of this division, especially if it wasn’t Miitomo, Nintendo’s first game for mobile devices. This game received quite a positive response from gamers. And also got a high rating and the number of downloads is also high. This phenomenon is also expected by Sony to occur in the mobile games that they will release later.
Sony also stated that the games that they will release for mobile devices will really be done well and maximally. And the game will also be released in full and not in pieces or with other frills. This certainly received a positive response from gamers who generally hate games that are released ‘half-heartedly’ or in pieces. Sony will try to give the best especially for this part of mobile gaming.
Regarding what games will be released later for this mobile gaming platform, Sony has not provided further explanation. There is no detailed information yet whether it’s just the title of the game that will be released or whether the game will be free to play or not, especially regarding the exact release date of their first mobile game. Of course, this will take much longer before it is actually released to the market.
