After Team Liquid won The International 7 and finished second at TI9 this year, all players from the team have officially resigned, as revealed by co-CEO, Victron Goossens yesterday.
According to information, Maroun “GH” Merhej, Kuro “KuroKy” Takhasomi, Ivan Borislavov “MinD_ContRoL” Ivanov, Amer “Miracle-” Al-Barkawi, and Aliwi “w33” Omar are no longer with Team Liquid.
This also raises the question, why did they leave? And where do the players land?
Staying Under the Liquid Name
According to Goossens, the players will build their own organization. In addition, based on the announcement from Liquid, the squad formed by the players will later remain under the Liquid name. However that has not been confirmed by Liquid’s players.
“After TI9, I sat down with Kuroky and Mohamed to talk about our future together,” said Goossens.
“Unfortunately, they took the decision to quit pursuing their ambitions and dreams to start their own organization.”
According to information, Liquid will build a new roster to stay competitive in the 2019-2020 Dota Pro Circuit. We are waiting for the new roster from Team Liquid later.
