Indonesian people’s enthusiasm for e-sports continues to increase. This can be seen by the growth of more and more gaming teams. Seeing this fact, Garena as an online game publisher who is most keen on holding competitions, was compelled to present a tournament specifically for the student scale.
Taking place at its headquarters, Jakarta (24/8), Garena proudly introduces the LeaGUE OF Legends National Collegiate Championship (LNCC). The tournament which is specifically for students is indeed being held for the first time by Garena this year, which is called LNCC 2016. Not only in Indonesia, later this competition will lead to an international level, namely the League of Legends International Cllegiate Championship (LICC), which was held in the Philippines in November.

“LNCC is a competition that is specifically intended for players at the student level. It also aims for them to make their campus proud, by bringing their respective university flags,” said Bekti, Project Manager of League of Legends.
As the organizer, Garena will start the online qualification, whose performances are divided into two regions, namely Java Island and Outside Java, according to the location of the universities that have registered. The top 2 teams in each qualifying area will immediately get a prize of IDR 3 million, as well as tickets to the Grand Final in Jakarta.

That way, in the Grand Final round, there will be 4 teams that will follow single elimination, to determine the 2016 LNCC champion, and compete for the grand prize of Rp. For the second place winner, Garena prepared a prize of Rp. 25, and Rp. 10 million for the third and fourth place winners.
