Although it has not been officially confirmed, Tom Holland’s version of Spider-Man will be present in the form of a trilogy. What is certain is that the second film will be present in 2019. But in an interview with Allo Ciné (via SHH), Holland said that Spider-Man was planned in the form of a trilogy from the start. In the interview he said that there would be two more films after Spider-Man: Homecoming.
“There will be a Spider-Man 2 and 3… Yeah, well now you know, sorry Marvel. Whoops!”
The spontaneous expression seems to have been accidentally done by Holland. However, if this is true, Sony and Marvel might have to renew their cooperation contract. Due to the initial agreement they will feature Spider-Man (Holland’s version) in two solo films and in (two) Avengers films.
