Counter Strike: GO is an FPS game made by Valve which was released right in 2012. First released 8 years ago, CS:GO still has the same visual appearance. The game is designed with the Source Engine that was designed from 2004. Even so, this FPS game is still very popular and even has one of the largest gaming communities in the world.
Talking about the appearance of CS:GO, many players are starting to speculate that Valve will upgrade its visual appearance using Source Engine 2. In fact, many rumors that support this are true and will be upgraded this year.
Valve News Network Owner Gives Support
One of those who voiced this was Valve News Network owner, Tyler McVicker, who said that CS:GO would get a visual upgrade last May. Reported by Dexerto, McVicker said that Valve canceled it because there was too much work to do.
“For now the update will not happen. They won’t do it,” McVicker added.
Valve already has Build CS:GO Source Engine 2
Interestingly, Tyler McVicker says that Valve has had a CS:GO build with its source engine 2 for two years. But reluctant to do so because they can’t move all community content. A reason that is quite reasonable because there is a lot of content from the community that they inevitably have to port one by one if the game is moved to Source 2.
Of course, this will provide a lot of work for Valve. Of course, all the content available in CS:GO is currently the key to the success of this game. However, this may be a barrier for them to evolve. What do you think about this? Give your feedback below.
