In Japan, there is a term for people who are satisfied with their lives without wanting to use the internet, namely “Ria-Jyuu”, which in this game is called IRL People. As explained briefly, they are happy people who have never used the internet in their lives. But what if they turn out to be liars, and have some reason why they don’t want to use the internet? This is the core of the story in the latest adventure game from Marvelous, entitled Net High.
In this game the protagonist is a freelancer named Oreshi, a “non-IRL” who cannot be happy without using the internet. Well, as Oreshi, you have to find fake IRLs who use the internet. So if it’s been found, how? Of course fighting against them!! But first, you have to find solid evidence that they are fake IRLs. If the evidence is sufficient, then you can fight in a battle called Flame Wars (or Explosive Comments Battles), and if you win, the fake IRL lie will be exposed.
