Recently, we have informed you about the presence of the Resident Evil Reboot movie. The reboot film that will be produced by Constantin Films brings the Resident Evil franchise to the big screen for the umpteenth time. Capcom itself has previously brought Resident Evil to the big screen.
But unfortunately, Capcom’s previous efforts to bring Resident Evil to the big screen were not satisfactory. Which has a plot that almost all fans of the horror franchise don’t like. But this time, they’re back to try their luck with the Resident Evil reboot.
Resident Evil Reboot Movie
First announced last year, the Resident Evil reboot itself will bring the original story of the franchise. In this series you will see Kaya Scodelario as Claire Redfield. Then Robbie Amell as Chris Redfield, Hannah John-Kamen as Jill Valentine, and Avan Jogia as Leon S. Kennedy.
Apart from all that, now this Resident Evil reboot movie has got an official title. The film from director Johannes Roberts will officially be titled Resident Evil: Welcome To Raccoon City. This film itself is an adaptation of the first two Resident Evil games that brought Claire Redfield and Leon S. Kenneydy.
Titled Resident Evil Welcome to Raccoon City
Set in 1998, Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City will tell the story of the city being besieged by infected zombies. Both the mansion from Resident Evil 1 and the city itself as well as the police station from Resident Evil 2 will be present in the film. Work on this one film itself has been completed 100%.
In addition, Capcom is also developing other Resident Evil projects. Call it the Resident Evil series for Netflix and Resident Evil 9 which is just in the early stages of development. Resident Evil Reboot will hit theaters on September 3, 2021.
