Recently, developer studio from France, Dontnod Entertainment, known for Remember Me and Life is Strange, launched their newest product, Vampyr, last July to platform PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Use settings in the city of London in 1918, games It tells the story of Jonathan Reid, who is faced with a dilemma due to his oath as a doctor who must protect life, with the thirst for blood he feels after turning into a vampire!

Although not free from shortcomings such as kekurangan combat system which is not good, Vampyr received praise from among gamer thanks to its gameplay mechanics, unique story and good character development. Especially while in the game, gamer can choose to quench the doctor’s thirst by preying on anyone he meets, or maintain his human side and kill no one. Perhaps this dualism that must be lived by Jonathan Reid is what attracted the attention of Fox 21 Television Studio, so they also entered into a partnership with Dontnod Entertainment to bring Vampyr to the small screen as a television series.
Later, this project will be developed by Wonderland Sound and Vision, the company that produces feature films from Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle (2003) and Terminator Salvation (2009) to popular TV series such as The OC, Chuck and Supernatural; with dj2 Entertainment who is known to often adapt various things video games to the big screen or the small screen, for example digital series Life is Strange until the movie life action Sonic the Hedgehog.
Oskar Guilbert as co-founder of Dontnod Entertainment welcomed the emergence of this project, stating that Vampyr, with its rich and immersive story, has a fantastic premise for a television series. He also added that he couldn’t wait to see how the Fox 21 team lifted the dark nuances of games which they develop to the small screen.
For the time being, there is no further information from the production side regarding which actors/actresses will be involved in this project. [Aseek]
