2016 is arguably the most productive year for one of the leading technology manufacturers, Xiaomi. It can be seen throughout the year that there have been various types of devices outside of smartphones that Xiaomi has released to the market.
After previously releasing Mi VR Play, Xiaomi is now confidently adding another advanced Virtual Reality glasses device by presenting the Xiaomi Mi VR as its newest flagship.
Not much different from the Virtual Reality headsets that have been released on the market, Xiaomi’s VR headsets still use smartphones as devices that function as screens.
As a differentiator and at the same time the advantages of Mi VR are that this headset is equipped with an integrated motion sensor and has a remote control of 9 movement angles.
Xiaomi claims that the motion sensor has a fairly low latency, which is only 16ms.
It has not been revealed which smartphones are suitable to be combined with this VR headset, but it is certain that the ones that are suitable to be combined are all Xiaomi smartphones released this year.
Xiaomi also introduced the MIUI VR Store along with the announcement of this Xiaomi VR headset. Through the MIUI VR Store, users can download various additional VR content as desired.
Xiaomi always provides affordable prices on every device it releases, and the Mi VR is no exception, which is priced at US$29.
