First in the world with a display refresh rate of 144Hz and a response time of 3ms
In the event titled “Embrace The Edge of Power” today, ASUS officially introduced the latest gaming laptop, the ASUS ROG Strix GL504. As the successor to ROG Strix GL503, ROG Strix GL504 offers a new gaming experience with a 144Hz 3ms display with ultra-thin bezels.
What’s interesting, this laptop is a gaming laptop that was asked to be the “World’s first 15 inch 144Hz 3ms super narrow bezel display.”
“The increasingly large world of e-sports makes gamers need devices that are able to support their activities that are easy to carry anywhere, whether practicing or participating in national and international gaming tournament competitions,” said Galip Fu, Country Marketing Manager, ASUS Indonesia. “Thanks to its super-thin bezel, ROG Strix GL504 offers even greater portability thanks to its 2.33 cm smaller width,” he said.
Unlike the GL503, ASUS ROG Strix GL504 is only available in two series, Hero II and Scar II, which are ASUS’ flagships to help Indonesian gamers win. But both are still targeted for the same game genre. ROG Strix GL504 Hero II for MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) gamers, and ROG Strix GL504 Scar II for FPS (First Person Shooter) gamers.
In terms of design, ROG Strix GL504 not only looks more compact thanks to the thin bezel on the screen, it now looks more premium with a new pattern so that it can satisfy gamers with a futuristic design. For non-gaming users, the latest design used is also very elegant and overall has become a perfecting factor for notebooks that offer very capable performance.
Ultra Responsive Display with Super Thin Bezels
To give you the maximum advantage in combat, ROG Strix GL504 Hero II and Scar II feature the world’s first ultra-slim bezel display with 3ms gray to gray (GTG) response time – a must-have for hardcore and esports players alike. The ultra-high refresh rate ensures a true 144fps experience with minimal input lag, while the super-fast response time reduces ghosting and motion blur for clearer visuals.
The new design also results in a thinner frame, allowing for a more compact body that is 2.33cm narrower than its predecessor. This laptop is lighter, too, with an overall weight of just 2.4kg so you can maximize your agility, wherever you go!
Multi Antenna Wi-Fi with RangeBoost!
ROG Strix GL504 is the world’s first gaming laptop to come with multi-antenna Wi-Fi for 30% better coverage, higher Wi-Fi throughput, and more stable connections. The patented ROG RangeBoost technology combines four antennas located on the back and front of the laptop with a unique algorithm.
The way it works, it will constantly scan and choose the best antenna that is able to cover each blank spot, thus producing the strongest signal. The 802.11ac Wave 2 Wi-Fi standard will also provide users with speeds of up to 1.7Gbps – double that of 802.11ac 2×2 and 12x that of 802.11b/g/n.
Unmatched Performance with Intel Core 8th Gene
To deliver peak performance, ASUS embeds an Intel Core 8 . processorth Gen i7 on the two new gaming machines this time. The embedded Intel Core i7-8750 processor can run up to speeds of up to 4.1GHz. Meanwhile, in terms of graphics processing, all ROG Strix GL504 lines use the Nvidia GeForce GTX 10 Series GPU, gamers will be spoiled for a perfect gaming experience. And everything will work optimally thanks to the HyperCool Pro cooling system equipped with Anti Dust technology and two powerful 12v fans.
For the main memory, ASUS provides a space capacity of up to 32GB of DDR4 type with a speed of 2,666 MHz. This support will smooth the system performance to process computing performance smoothly, especially in the multitasking aspect. As for gaming, ROG Strix GL504 Hero II itself will come with Nvidia GeForce GTX1060 6GB GDDR5 graphics and ROG Strix GL504 Scar II has a choice of Nvidia GeForce graphics up to GTX 1070 8GB GDDR5.
The choice of graphics in these two series will allow this laptop to process graphics smoothly so that it spoils the eyes because it has been equipped with IPS-Level display panel technology with a refresh rate of 144Hz with a response time of 3ms which will minimize Stuttering, Tearing and Ghosting on the screen.
Regarding storage media, ASUS maintains the use of up to 256GB NVMe PCIe Gen3 x4 SSD technology combined with a wide-capacity, 1TB hybrid SSHD for data storage media or game collections. Storage is able to provide application and gaming loading times, aka loading speeds in opening applications and games, twice as fast as conventional HDDs.
In Indonesia, ROG Strix GL504 Scar II and Hero II will come with a choice. Everything is equipped with an Intel Core 8 processorth Gen i7-8750H which has six cores and twelve threads with different GPU options. ROG Strix GL504 Scar II will come with a choice of GPUs up to GTX 1070 8GB with prices starting at IDR 30,299,000. While ROG Strix GL504 Hero II will come with a choice of GPU GTX 1060 6GB with prices starting at Rp. 24,299,000.
